These male rod ends provide the ultimate in strength and safety for racing applications.
The housing is made from heat treated 4340 alloy steel, with a PTFE-lined, heat-treated stainless steel race. The ball is heat treated and hard chrome plated alloy steel or stainless steel (manufacturer's choice). The housing is coated for corrosion resistance.
These bearings feature low breakaway torque (1 to 15 inch-pounds for all sizes except 1/4", which is 0.5 to 6 in-lb.) for minimal effect on handling. Male threaded shanks only. Typical male rod end shown in photo. Aurora PRXM (right hand threads) and PRXB (left hand threads) series.
