The timing chain tensioner pad (rubbing block) is a wear item on the Ford 1600 Kent engine. It should be replaced at every engine rebuild. The tensioner spring can also weaken with age, making the whole tensioner assembly ineffective and upsetting cam and ignition timing.
This kit includes both the tensioner and the tensioner pad for the Ford 1600 Kent engine. It works with the standard single-row timing chain and is legal for FF1600.
