Genuine Timken Aurora AW-3 female rod end with heavy duty shanks that provide the ultimate in strength, durability, and safety. Aurora rod ends are unsurpassed in motorsports, aviation, aerospace, marine, or industrial use!

Regarding use for throttle cables:
- A PTFE-lined rod end can be too stiff for use on a throttle cable, causing a sticky pedal or even premature wear on the cable. These special rod ends are made slightly loose so the cable can pivot freely on the pedal or carburetor linkage.
- Standard right-hand 10-32 UNF female threads fit most formula car throttle cables.
- The ball is 5/16" wide, with a 0.190" bore to accept a #10 screw. Flats on the body accept a 5/16" wrench. This rod end will add 0.62" to the overall length of your throttle cable when screwed all the way in.
Body, race, and ball are all heat treated alloy steel. The ball is hard chrome plated alloy steel, and the steel race is protective coated for corrosion resistance.
