These forged pistons are legal for SCCA Formula Ford effective 01/01/07 per FCS 9.1.1.B.12.e.2. They are designed to be an exact replacement for the Ford pistons, but in a non-standard oversize (3.1925" OD). They fit the .005" oversize (3.196") bore Kent "Uprated" engine only and are shaped to keep the mandated 9.3:1 compression ratio. Set of 4 pistons includes Wire-loc wrist pin retainers and special wrist pins (chamfered to work with the Wire-loc retainers).
Formula Ford 1600 Wrist pins (Part No.40-161-18) and Formula Ford 1600 Piston Rings (Part No.40- 161-20-STD) are sold separately.
Beware of non-compliant pistons! Very similar pistons are currently on the market elsewhere, but only these genuine Ivey pistons are legal in SCCA.
