Pawleys Island, SC.(Jan 27,2017)- The Iconic Racer Magazine has announced that it will be the presenting sponsor for the GPfour Series at
Road Atlanta March 10-12. The GPfour Racer Magazine 100 will be a two race event held as part of the SCCA Majors Tour stop at
the famous road course. "The series is very happy to be associated with such a fantastic publication" said Brad Baytos the President of
the GPfour Racing series and Primusracingparts.com. "Racer Magazine will be celebrating their 25th anniversary this year and we are thrilled to be a part of their history.
I remember when I received the first issue of Racer Mag, we were just thrilled with the awesome pictures and great stories about the cars
and drivers we all loved to follow. Everyone in racing knows the Racer Magazine name so we are proud to have their support"
"We feel our series is a great path for young and older drivers to gain experience and for veteren drivers to enjoy challenging racing
among the best around" Baytos continued.
The series opened the 2017 campaign with two rounds of racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway and Sebring International Raceway
"The grid for rounds 5 and 6 of the GPfour South series was already at 21 entries. We hope the news of the Racer Magazine association
will bring out more drivers to enjoy the exciting weekend we have planned". said Baytos. "There will be a wide variety of drivers running
these races and we are always adding new faces at each event" Baytos Continues,"The American Racer Tires are really performing
well and we look forward to a great weekend."
Because the series races as part of the SCCA Majors Tour, the races are multi class competition. This means the GPfour South Series
races are part of a larger race. The series is growing so fast that the organizers are trying to find room in the schedule to allow the GPfour cars
to have the track to themselves. " I am especially excited that we will have our own group for the Sunday race thanks to the help from Atlanta region SCCA officials." Baytos said. "We are thrilled about all the new car owners joining in on the action at Road Atlanta. The Atlanta Region SCCA were especially accommodating for our final race of 2016, (The Driven Race oil 100), and we are looking forward to another fantastic weekend. I am so appreciative to all the SCCA regions that has helped support this up and coming series."
