Description
The Tilton OT-II Single Disc Clutch is a very high-quality open style 7 1/4" diameter racing clutch. The aluminum cover is much lighter and stiffer than the stamped steel cover used on many other clutches. The 7 1/4" diameter gives longer disc life than a 5.5" clutch at the expense of a little rotating inertia. This assembly includes the cover and pressure plate. Clutch disc and bolts are sold separately. Requires specially modified flywheel such as our jae flywheel
(Part No. 163-01-JAE).
The Buff spring is a low-strength spring, recommended for Formula Ford and other cars producing up to 200 lb-ft of torque. We also offer the
(Part No. 163-15-Orn) for cars up to 250 lb-ft of torque.
Racing clutches require high pedal force to actuate. This clutch requires 480 pounds to release -- cable operated release mechanisms may not work. This clutch is appropriate for use with an external slave cylinder.
