A -4 AN red anodized aluminum quick disconnect that installs inline in an AN hose assembly. Both halves are clean dry-breaks, so fuel, oil or coolant stays in the line when you uncouple it: no spills and no draining when you pull an engine, tank, cooler or radiator.
To separate it, push both halves together and turn along the machined channel; no tools are needed. The female half swivels freely in either direction, so it connects without twisting the hose. The O-ring seals are fluorocarbon (often sold as Viton), which resists fuels, oils, mineral greases and coolant and handles heat up to about 400 °F (200 °C). Not for brake or clutch fluid: glycol-based brake fluid swells and destroys Viton seals. For brake and clutch lines use the EPDM-sealed QDSPH0303AL-B.
It uses the same -5 disconnect body as QDSPH0506AL-F, so you can keep one disconnect style across line sizes.
