The standard factory dowel that locates the camshaft sprocket on Ford Kent and Lotus Twin Cam engines. Replace it on a rebuild when the original is worn, bent or missing. It has no offset, so cam timing stays as designed.
Ford Crossflow and Pre-Crossflow OHV Kent, and the Lotus Twin Cam 8v 1558cc. That covers Formula Ford 1600 and vintage Formula Ford engines, plus period road cars: Ford Cortina, Escort, Capri and Anglia; Lotus Cortina, Elan and Europa; Caterham 7, Morgan 4/4 and TVR 1600M.
Need to correct cam timing? Fit an FP220 offset dowel (1 to 9 degrees) in the same location instead.
