A single-groove valve cotter (keeper), sold individually. It is the original-equipment cotter on the Ford Essex V4 and V6. On Crossflow Kent and SOHC Pinto engines it is a race part, used where the valves have been machined for a single-groove cotter rather than the factory triple groove.
Check your valves: a standard Pinto or Kent valve takes a triple-groove cotter. Use the FT1036 triple-groove cotter for factory-style valves.
